Recommended: Morality in relation to society

The idea of sanity is that of understanding one’s state of of mind. A sane person is rational and has moral values. The idea of of insanity is one that is considered mad, irrational or too complex to for others and their own understanding. A person that is insane is one that lacks any moral code or having a narrow mind. Although this is the general explanation of the idea of sanity, sanity is subjective. Sanity is apart of the human condition. The human condition is based on the concept of morality. Morals are relative, not universal. So the moral code on whether custom A or B is wrong is inconsequential.
Moral reasoning is relative because it is based on the society’s ethical code. In one society a condition may be acceptable while another society may reject those conditions completely. Several foreign cultural customs to a society can be seen as illegal or repulsive. The society that lacks of the understanding of it obtain an intolerant perspective of the group of people or custom. The ignorance the society attains results in perpetuating stereotypes that affects the unconventional custom. This is that makes the people and their world insane. …show more content…

Religiosity can clash in societies due to its subjectivity; selectively choosing the things that follow a person’s morals. This includes the idea of being born different to the society’s apparent norm can cause inevitable discrimination. Ultimately, the ones that don’t conform and the unconventional will receive harsh punishments for upholding their beliefs. Different beliefs and customs instill irrational fear in a society who aren’t as well adjusted to some different conditions. This human condition is the line that separates societies from ever completely understanding one
