I Want To Pursue A Degree In Criminology

That is the big question; what do I want to do after I graduate from high school. Growing up there were several things I wanted to be. An astronomer, youtuber, dancer, teacher. Now I have ideas on what I want to do after high school but I am still just a junior. I still have a year left to decide and in that year, I could once again change my mind on what I would like to do with my future. Today a Profiler with a degree in criminology, and a year from now maybe I want to study mythology. My life is not set in stone, and may never be, but that is not going to stop me from moving forward. I refuse to be scared of what is yet to be and what is yet to come. Shows like Criminal minds, Quantico, and NCIS. As I started learning more about criminology by looking on the internet I realized this is something I already did without realizing. I enjoy looking up serial killers and reading about the reasons they committed the murders that they did; thinking about what kind of people they were, how they acted, and how others interacted with them. Criminology is the scientific study of crime and criminals. It’s the study of looking into the minds of a criminal and what causes them to commit the crime they committed. This is one of the options I am looking at for my future because I would like to help people in the future, and it would actively challenge me to think harder and more. It allows me to do something I enjoy doing and that is looking into the minds of criminals and trying to figure out why it is that they do what they do, and what kind of people they are outside of

I could be a National Geographic photographer with the opportunity to travel the world to capture these different cultures and beautiful places on camera. These pictures would more than likely be put into the magazine to share the beauty of the world with others. Now this career would have to be paired with a journalism degree but it would be worth it to help show off this beautiful world to others.
