Setting goals is the first step to turning the invisible into the visible. Without objectives, a person is lost. Being able to see the pathway to success paves the road to accomplishment. Long-term goals offer long-term success. Three goals that I hope to achieve in my life are practicing orthodontics, mastering how to think before I speak, and raising my future children well.
Goals can first only be accomplished through a plan. Before I can practice orthodontics, I have to get through the required schooling. That entails getting undergraduate, dentistry, and oral surgery universities. While it’s a substantial amount of time and tuition, practicing orthodontics outweighs the unfavorable. Standard hours, high salary, and interesting work are all aspects that draw me to this profession. Unfortunately, oral surgery universities have very low acceptance rates, so it is crucial that I have other skills to get me through life.
One of my other ambitions is to be able to think before I speak. It is a vital social skill that I will be able to use throughout my life. I was once told that I am like a gumball machine- everything in my head comes right out of my mouth. That encompasses teaching proper manners, social skills and creating a loving environment. Being able to behave at a restaurant, use appropriate grammar and speak respectively are all manners that were taught to me, and I will teach to my children. Social skills such as being able to speak with adults and being able to hold my tongue are skills that I will raise my children to have. Overarching the other facets, the most important aspect of raising my children well is a positive environment. By supporting their decisions and encouraging ideas, I will fashion a comfortable home
