Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is one of the top schools that I would love to attend. I feel this college could provide me with a relaxing environment that I would love to place myself in. Outside the fact that the university offers my program, physician assistant, I especially admire about the college is that the faculty act as mentors to the students and I think that would allow me to experience a more of hands on work experience to assure stability within the field. Physician Assistant, my dream profession that I hope of becoming one day. I became interested in the healthcare field at an early age. Anytime I ask one of my family members of what their profession is, the reply would always be a doctor or a nurse and there wasn’t any other answer besides that. My grandpa had various health care issues, from asthma to heart problems and he has been in and out of the hospital throughout his life, and I would often visit him while he was in the hospital. With many medical careers students often get confused on what they really want to study, I have faced this problem myself and I know is not that easy due too many choices. There are many options ranging from healthcare to medical jobs. I have thoughtfully chosen to enter the program for Medical Assistant (MA). Ever since I was a child, I’ve spent most of childhood years at the Hospital, I was diagnosed with a rare condition that had to be treated continuously, this meant that I had to be going to checkups every three months so I was close to doctors, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologist, medical assistants, etc. I remember at first I was frightened just of the thought of going to the doctor but after a few visits I got used to. The doctors and nurses were nice and caring and made me feel comfortable that I end up enjoying my doctor’s visits every time. Since then I decided I wanted to work in the medical field, this is my goal since I can remember. I have always enjoyed helping people in any way I possibly can. I chose to be a Medical Assistant because I think is great way to start my medical career going and programs are practical and not long.

I believe that people everywhere should always have access to adequate medical care. Where you live should not determine whether you live, and the PA profession was created to improve the availability of healthcare in rural and other underserved areas. As a PA, I would be eager to help people have not had access to the care they needed. I want to serve those that need medical attention but don’t have the means to obtain it—whether in rural Michigan, the inner-city of Atlanta, or the backwoods of Arkansas. After review of my skills, interests, and experiences, I decided to pursue the medical career field as my first career choice, more specifically as a physician assistant. I will exceed in this position in the interest of that I like to help people and I solve problems well. Also, I communicate well with others and I have a great amount of patience. There are various careers that fit my skills and interests, but this one grabs my attention. My dream job is to be a doctor, but this occupation allows one to save money by lessening the years of school required. Also, the pay isn’t too shabby either. I will be successful in this position due to my skills, characteristics, and values, like honesty and helping others. Up to this point, I have job shadowed at a medical billing company and I like the idea of diagnosing and helping people, but a desk job is not ideal. Also, I took a medical terminology as a class and I discovered that I like how the body works and what it does. These factors have all influenced my career goal.
Out of hundreds of thousands of different jobs available in the country, the attractiveness of Anesthesiology has caught my attention. Ever since discovering the career and its rigorous requirements, I have been trying my hardest to achieve it. To become an Anesthesiologist requires dedication, responsibility and passion and I believe I acquire those assets. It requires demanding education and many years of pure dedication to have this occupation. University of Central Florida provides this requirement to become an Anesthesiologist, so I have decided to meticulously try my hardest to be admitted to this university.
I hope to bring my qualities, such as integrity, interpersonal skills, and my strong desires to serve others, to LMU-DCOM where I can receive the education to become a successful osteopathic physician.
My lifetime goal is helping others and I plan to use my career to fulfill it. The classes I’m taking right now and the ones I’m planning to take senior year are classes I believe will influence my decision in my college major/career as well as counting toward my GPA. This will help me get into schools who have medical programs that I’m considering. Also, taking AP classes can help me save money since I can earn college credit. I’m taking all AP classes, and the electives I’m taking have been classes that have helped me consider being in the medical field. I’ve found that over the years, science and math are what I’m doing better in versus history and english. I believe by being in the medical field, I can help others in the best way I can.
Finally, I believe my experience as a CPhT, clinical experience along with knowledge and passion for helping people will help me become a successful physician assistant candidate. While working in groups as an undergraduate student, I would always motivate myself and dedicate to reach the team goal. And learning from my shadowing experience, I think that motivation to give fullest attention and care to patients is very important. I have always wanted to work in the medical field since I was a child. Around four, I told my pediatrician during a well- check visit that I wanted to grow up and be just like her. My love of infants and children strongly influenced my career choice because I want to have the ability to help sick children who do not have the ability to help themselves. As a medical office assistant (MOA), I would be the first point of communication between patient and office, and I will be the one to set the tone for the patient’s experience. All my life I have always wanted to be a nurse. Since I was younger I can recall playing with stethocopes. I have four siblings so my parents paying for my education has never been an option for me. That having said I became a Medical Assistant. Becoming a medical assistant has been a great blessing in my life. I have been able to work with patients, while going to school but I am ready to further my education. I want to be able to provide patients with medications, IV's, and many other skills that will put my full knowledge to use. Pediatricians can be identified individuals who specialize in giving medical care to children and adolescents between infancy to adulthood at eighteen years of age. I became inspired to become a pediatrician due to my immense love of children. Perhaps I have an innate intuition for taking care of people being that I have always felt that I excel at taking care of others. The idea of taking care of others truly makes me feel that I serve a purpose, not only to better the life of myself but the life of others.
