When people ask my friends what kind of person I am, they will said I am honest, trustworthy, smart, kind, positive, and considerate. I enjoy working and helping people. I used to work at a Physical Therapy Clinic with geriatric and Home Health. When they people come in to physical therapy they are in pain and depressed. I will try to help them get as comfortable as possible and talk to them to make their day better. I want to help them forget about their problems and focus on getting better. I lean them my ears and shoulders for their vexation because they might not have anyone willingly listen to them. I go above and beyond of a physical therapy aid. I try to learn more duties I can do to help make the Physical Therapist job easier. I help measure patient’s vital sign, stretching patients, cleaning, organizing, and answer any inquires or phone calls. In addition, I schedule appointment for all healthcare contractor such as Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Therapist. We have been working with an organization called Mercy House for many years. Mercy House goals is to help end homelessness in our community. They offer permanent homes for low income families, temporary housing for homeless during the winter, and prevention program to aid families and individuals who are at risk of becoming homeless. I started working with Mercy House by volunteering through their temporary housing for homeless. I help clean mat for beds, serve food, and passed out donate clothing. It was hard work, but I had fun and enjoyed helping people. Moreover, I had a chance to meet new people and learn something new.
