I believe a healthy family environment is crucial to success. My family has supported me through the decisions I have made. Because of this, I have the tools to be successful. My immediate family includes my older sister, my father, and my mother. Originally, my parents are from Iran. Before my sister and I were born, my father worked hard to be able to come to America. Once he did, he was able to create a great life for all of us here. I am extremely thankful that I am able to live here, and I have visited Iran several times. My mother’s family speaks Farsi with the occasional Turkish. Since I was raised with Farsi as my first language, I was taught English once I started going to school.
