Personal Response-I thought the book I am a Seal Team Six Warrior by Howard Wasdin was very good and intense. The book was about a Seal Team Six Warrior named Howard Wasdin. It told how courageous Howard Wasdin had to be to survive being a Navy Seal. Plot- The story was about Howard when he was in the Navy Seal Team Six. He was in a secret unit made up of the best soldiers. Howard was in U.S. Navy Seals as Special Forces snipers and Medic. His training started with underwater rescue, which was the hardest part. The first place he went was Operation Desert Storm as a member of Seal Team Two. Howard reached his goal and became one of the best snipers on the planet. He also was in The Battle of Mogadishu. I am reading tides of war blood in the water by Alexander London. It's about a navy seal who is a dolphin trainer. The book started with him and his brother are surfing and his brother got palled under by a shark and Cory the older brother help him get top. So far the book is really good.

The first paragraph starts his story and how he grew up to be one of the top snipers in the world. Although this is an amazing memoir, nothing is perfect. The first half of the book has the reader glued to the pages learning about Wasdin's life, but towards the end of the memoir the stories tend to get repetitive.
In the novel, “Unbroken,” by Laura Hildenbrand, Louis Zamperini struggles to overcome many challenges during WWII. Zamperini was a troubled child. He completely disregarded authority and had a difficult time controlling his temper. His brother, Pete, wanted to keep him out of trouble, so he distracted him with running. Louis fell in love with the sport. After having a successful career as an athlete and joining the olympics, Zamperini, was drafted into the Air force. Along with the challenges brought by war, Zamperini faced unusual circumstances as his plane had mechanical issues and crashed near Oahu. Of the eleven men aboard the plane, three survived and were stranded at sea for forty seven days. Zamperini was one of them. After being stranded, he was picked up by the Japanese navy and taken to a prisoner of war camp where he was tortured. He was held there until the end of the war. The events in Zamperini’s childhood led him to become a courageous and fearless adult. His drive, commitment, hope, and resolve kept him alive and thriving through each of these situations.
In 2013, Peter Berg made a movie version of Marcus Luttrell’s novel Lone Survivor. Both the book and the movie are set in Afghanistan and tell the story of Operation Redwing. In both versions, four Navy SEALs head to northern Afghanistan for the mountainous Pakistani border to capture or kill a notorious al Qaeda leader. Throughout the film version of Lone Survivor, what happens to Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell is very similar to what happens to him in the novel. However, the movie is different from the book because it leaves out certain details, is told mostly through dialogue instead of narration, and ends in a different way.

To some people, it is only noise but to me, it was a whole new world. I can still remember the first time I heard a round whiz past my ear, the cars passing by, or SSG Blue yelling at me to get down. At that moment, I realized that I was not training anymore. I was made aware that everything and everyone were out to kill me. I kept telling myself, “I shouldn’t be here.” Mentally, I can hear my mother in the background crying just as the day she did when she found out I joined the military. My life was not the same nor will it ever be the same. In my first combat tour I learned the importance of life, how to mentally prepare myself for the worst outcomes, and I learned how to be a great leader.
Murphy’s law states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. As someone who bears the name I can attest the truth in that statement. I have an extremely blessed life and do not endure the suffering that many people do on a daily basis. However, I have bizarre connections to small misfortunes and circumstances that follow me back as far as I can remember. Any acquaintance of mine will attest that things in my life never go as planned and anything that can happen will. Yet through a collection of misfortune, one can still find solace and benefit through their tribulation and see that negative experience could actually be positive.

Marcus Luttrell was born in Houston Texas on November 7, 1975. Marcus Luttrell started training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL at age 14. Marcus trained with a neighbor who was a U.S. Army soldier and Marcus also trained with his brother. Marcus was inspired by them to join the U.S. Navy after high school Marcus attended Sam Houston University. Marcus enlisted in the United States Navy on March 1999 after he graduated he transferred to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALs. During Basic Underwater Demolitions/SEALs he fractured his femur on the obstacle course. He then had to graduate with a different class. He graduated Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALs on April 21, 2000. After completing Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALs he attended Army jump school and SEAL qualification training. He was then sent to Fort Bragg North Carolina for Special Operations Combat Medic course or SOCM for an additional six months of advanced training. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 with SEAL team 10. Then late one night on June 27, 2005 Operation Red Wings began. The mission was supposed to be a milk run they had to locate and confirm that a high value was in a village that they had gotten Intel on that there was supposed to be a high value target there. Their team was discovered by local goat herders and they had to decide whether they should let them go or kill them. They decided to let them go. Marcus Luttrell had told his fellow seals after they let the goat herders go that they would fight to the very last man and to the very last bullet they then dug themselves in preparing for them to ambush them. You won't be able to prepare yourself for NAVY SEAL training it takes a eleven or more degree to be in the navy also get in shape like a Navy SEAL if you don't put in the time says a NAVY SEAL adding that the training day for a prospective SEAL is nine hours long. If you’re just starting to work out it can be for an hour a day but the workout needs to build upon itself.
When I was seventeen I nervously traveled about 350 miles from my sleepy little home town of Freedom, Wyoming to the relatively enormous city of Boise, Idaho to go to the Military Entrance Processing Station. This wasn 't the first time I had been this far from home by myself, but it was the first time I was making adult decisions without my parents involvement.
