Banquet Speech Good evening everyone. I’d like to first start off by thanking all of our wonderful booster club and parents for making this banquet possible. I’d also like to thank all the family members and friends in attendance tonight for joining us on this special occasion, I hope you all get a taste of this program and how much of an impact it has had on each of us tonight. Now I know y’all all have been sitting here forever & by the time I walked up here you’re probably thinking “Another senior???” Yes, I won’t say I’ll keep this super short, but I hope with the time I have I can share a few life lessons. This program, although it has changed from year to year, there has still been constants throughout my years here. No matter who …show more content…
I know, I know that’s such a random speech to think of, but it’s one with a very true lesson, especially for high school. During this speech she mentions that there are always going to be people who will try to undercut your success or that they’ll try to take credit & tear down your successes. Listening to this speech at 16 years old, I thought little of it. 2 years later, and I understand what she meant. We all have people who will tear us down, and form opinions about us without even knowing the real us. People who will always try to one up us. People who will try their hardest to undermine your successes. We all have our Kim’s and Kanye’s. But our trials should never stop us from our tribulations. YOUR achievements & YOUR happiness should never be diminished by anyone. In life there is always going to be people with words to belittle you, no matter where you go, but my best advice is to never let these words stop you, instead use them to motivate you further. Especially the words said in high school, trust me it’s hard to let it go, but this is just high school & soon it won’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Do cherish these moments because you won’t have them forever, but don’t let what happens hold you back & don’t let a moment in high school be your crowning moment. There is so much more ahead for all of us in life, and nothing that comes from high school will ever be your defining
Good Morning how was your nite been ? You have definitely caught my interest as I am very impressed by what you wrote, I was in relationship a very long time ago.thankfully, I am very active and love sports. I try and walk regularly and have played most sports. I love hockey and watch it during the season. You can call me fanatical!!
There are tons of people who are going to be against you, and there are lots of bullies, but remember that you are a gift to this world, and that another equal individual can't make you feel like you're less than.
There are numerous of things to look forward to your senior year. Freedom, early dismissal, late arrival, homecoming week, college acceptance letters, and graduation. I was always reminded to be aware of this senior disease called senioritis, a case of laziness your senior year, but I was not told to be aware of tears and torture. The first day I walked through Ridge Spring Monetta High School doors as a senior, I felt like a target. Eyes turned into laser beams straight for my heart. I was blindsided, I did not know where this hatred came from. Smiles turned into frowns, but I believe even with a damaged hurt and red watery eyes, I still came out on top.
Next week's commencement exercises will mark the realization of our high school dreams and achievements, the dawning of new challenges and opportunities to pursue college education, and setting the vision for our own professional development. Equally deserving, I would also like to congratulate and express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to our parents, teachers and administrators, with whom we proudly share our achievements and our joys. This diploma is our gift to you who have cooperatively worked together to see us through four years at Washington High School. To our parents, your immense love and support had provided us with strength and determination to go on when in our youth we did not know which road to take; we could not discern what was appropriate and not; in those critical moments of indecision, you were always there to offer the best for us; in our painful moments of loss as well as our hard fought victories you were there to encourage and protect us.
The one thing that makes your wedding memorable for your invitees is the lipsmacking food that is served at your wedding. Isn't it? From paapdi chaats to the butter chicken, everything, if perfect, makes all the money you spent on the food worthwhile. However, are you sure the menu you're deciding for your wedding next month is the right one for your health-freak cousins? Won't that friend kill you who kept a watch on her food to look slim, if you simply offer her nothing but pizzas or fried chicken or potatoes?
Good Morning Mavis, All is well with me and I hope all is well with you too. I enjoy reading your mails too and would always look forward to read more. I really love the photo you sent, you are gorgeous. How long have you been in the UK? I will keep looking at the photo and make sure I don't miss your pretty face and lovely smile..
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Today is the day where each of the people behind me start a new journey as this part of our lives come to an end. With the help of many of you in the stands and your influence on my friends and peers, I know everyone of us is set out to do something extraordinary. I want to start of first by thanking my friends, coaches and teachers, my community, and most importantly, my family. There is no doubt that all of you have helped me in any way to get to where I am today.
Marriage is an awesome thing joined and ordained by God, the both of you becomes one flesh. It’s no more me myself and I, it’s us, we, ours, your body becomes his, and his body becomes yours. It’s no more my decision but it’s our decision that we both make together, it’s not enough to just be married, and be in love. After thirty five blessed years my husband and I are still deeply in loved.
Hey beautiful daddy. I just wanted to tell you that I’ve been thinking about you all day & every time I see you my heart skips a beat . You mean a lot to me and even though we’ve only been talking , for not very long .
Herga Zhang Good evening teachers, administrators, families, and fellow graduates. Thank you for being here to celebrate this long-awaited and proudly-earned event with the Class of 2015. First, I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of the graduating class toward our families, friends, and teachers who have supported us during our academic journey. Without the encouragement of our friends, patience of our teachers, and the late-night lectures from our parents for procrastinating, today would not have been possible.
Good evening, I have immense pride in speaking before you today and I am honoured to be giving tribute to our dear parents who have been here to guide us through all these years. I can still remember the first day of school, clinging desperately to my mother’s arm, my small fingers clutching hopelessly, fearing the unfamiliar world I was about to step into. I also remember the soothing words of encouragement and endearment that were hushed to me. The trust I had even at such a young age had me puffing out my chest and charging into that classroom with new found determination. You took care of us in every aspect; you got us out of bed and ready in the morning, cooked for us, cleaned up behind us, and disciplined us in ways that were crucial in making us who we are today.
Although I wasn’t able to climb this mountain along with my class the entire way, I’ve come to grow close to my classmates. It seems as though I’ve been here all my academic life. I’d like to thank my fellow classmates for the memories we shared. Even though our time together was short, I will forever cherish these years. Teachers…
...nk of as accomplishments that shaped who we are. Measuring ourselves against our personal achievents and the adversity we face is one of the many ways that we can examine our lives and potential. Adversity plays such a big role in our lives that it's almost invisible. We don't realize that practically everyday we face it and set it up to determine who we are going to be. Sometimes people are given a really crappy deck of cards and don’t know how to handle them. When were in a difficult situation, or faced with adversity we have two choices. Battle through it and become an even greater individual because of it or succumb to the situation and give up. It it all depends on how much determination a person has to fight through the adversity and in turn, become a better person.
Anthony, I hope you now see that it was never going to be that easy – which brings me onto your stag night.
Hi, my name is Pat and I would like to start today by thanking the seniors of 2012 for choosing me to speak today. It is truly my honor.
