I. Introduction
Human trafficking needs international attention because this transnational business of slavery violates basic human rights, and many nations do not have sufficient laws to properly deal with this crime (Barry)
Increasing transparency of corporates and accounting them for abusing human rights in the manufacturing and sale of products to reduce “slavery-tainted” goods (McHaffie)

II. Paragraph 2 & 3: The Current State of the Issue

Expected results
Less trafficking in global supply chains is expected (“Slavery in the Supply Chain”) ex) a year-long investigation of the brand Nestle, forced labor had been discovered in its supply chain, and is now committed to eliminating forced labor in its supply chains (“Nestle Acknowledges Slavery in its Supply Chain”)

V. Paragraph 7 & 8: Identifying shortcomings
Nations with high rates of human trafficking may not adopt policy (“Slavery in the Supply Chain”)
Doesn’t address sex trafficking, brands may lie about not having trafficking in their supply chains (“Slavery in the Supply Chain”)
Russia, Brazil, India (“10 Human Trafficking Countries”)
Organizations funded by the government can investigate large companies and brands for human trafficking, countries won’t make as much sales as they would be able to if their products were free of forced labor (considering top importers, like United States, adopt this policy), and labor trafficking in supply chains is more common than sex trafficking, so it addresses more people
