Have you ever watched “Tom and Jerry” when you were young? There was one episode I saw when I was young is called “Heaven Pass”. That Tom is in a dream he tried to gets into heaven, because his whole life was trying to kill Jerry, therefore he could not get in. The only way was to get Jerry sign the forgive Tom certificate then he would be able to get in. From them on I started to imagine where I would go when I die? What heaven look like?

Hello. I am Daniel Gardner. My story today sets back a few years ago in a car. I look out the window from the back seat to see a beautiful blue sky with pearly white clouds scattered across the sky like dice. The sun glows across the sky like a beacon of hope. It reflects off of the sand as if it is beaming off of glass. The luscious variety of green grass with the bountiful palm trees sway softly with the breeze. The light turns green and we start to fly past it all as if time speeds up. we pull into the driveway to see not a beach house. But a mansion. We walk in and see the decor of the house as if angels have come through and done it themselves. We were finally on vacation.
Heaven is a place on earth. In the hit Netflix original television series Black Mirror, specifically the episode “San Junipero,” individuals are allotted 5 hours a week to enter a virtual reality to live as a younger version of themselves. Individuals can then choose to ‘pass over’ or upload their consciousness into a cloud and become permanent residents of the town, San Junipero. For centuries humans have been drawing parallels to help explain or understand different concepts. These parallels, or allegories, tell a simple story and their purpose is to use another point of view to help guide individuals into the correct line of thought. “The only stable element in a literary work is its words, which if one knows the language in which it is written, have a meaning. The significance of that meaning is what may be called allegory.”(Bloomfield) As Bloomfield stated, it is only how we interpret the words in an allegory that matters, each person can interpreted it in a slightly different way and allegories are most often personalized by a reader. Dante’s Inferno allegory is present throughout the entire poem. From the dark wood to the depths of Dante’s hell he presents the different crimes committed in life as they could be punished in death.

Although I chose to read The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom based primarily on availibility, I am quite happy that I did. The character I liked reading about most was Tala. Her innocence was an appreciated break from not only the very problematic and adult actions of the characters/ people in this book, but in most media ever, and in real life. Although Tala is my favorite character, I 've found I 'm more alike to Ruby. Once upon a time there was a girl named Ella Enchanted. She was so beautiful. Her mother died so she moved with her stepmother and step sisters and her 1 real sister. One day her fairy godmother gave her a gift. She had to take it or she will be turned into a rat. So of course she took it .the gift was kind of like a spell. It was kind of like a spell because the spell / gift was to be obedient, so for an example if someone told her to jump she would have to jump. After ever demand there was this thing! Sound kind of like when a cooking clock is timed and time is over it would make a thing! Sound sort of like that. No one every noticed it. Until one day Ella was with her friend and her sister saw her and her friend and told Ella to" come here" then she noticed how Ella stood straight up and walked right over to her. She noticed it but she wasn't sure so she told Ella to take the glass shoes and run. Ella took the shoes and ran. As she was running the guard said stop running and she did. She got caught. So when she got home her stepmother asked who put her up to stealing the glass shoes. Her step sister olive the one who had put her up to stealing whispered in her ear say Ellie whom was her best friend.
This over exaggeration of the human imagination is what makes fairytales stand alone in their own category of fictional stories. Valerie Gokturk describes a fairytale as, “having magical things happen…talking animals… inanimate objects talking.” This can be seen through the Cinderella story as Cinderella is treated poorly by her new step-family, so in response she turns to frequently visiting her passed mother. Upon request, the father of Cinderella brings her a hazel twig to place on the mother’s grave. With the twig placed on the ground, a magical element comes into play as a hazel tree grows and produces birds that grant Cinderella wishes. This sense of magic is further seen as the tree produces a series of exquisite dresses that Cinderella wears to the prince’s ball. No tree of non-magic origin would be able to fully grow in such a short period of time, not to mention being able to spawn flawless dresses. The birds are seen as having a magical essence as Cinderella talks to them, instructing them to pick out the lentils out of the ash in the fireplace. This event can be seen as slightly more plausible; however, the fact that the birds can communicate with Cinderella places the series of events that unfold in a magical category. Everyone has a soul. Every soul has a destiny. In the Bible, God explains that every soul will be judged. God warns mankind that during judgment we will receive a one-way ticket to eternity. The Bible also teaches us that during this life we have two choices. We are granted free will to serve and honor God through Jesus Christ who is in Heaven, or we are free moral agents to choose Satan who will reside in Hell. Heaven is good. Hell is evil. The fact that God created mankind’s soul with an eternal destiny should have a significant impact on our choices and priorities. The benefits and splendor of Heaven are greater than the punishments and tortures of Hell.
I stood there in amazement. A tingle surged throughout my whole body. It was a rush of excitement I had never felt before in my life. When my eyes hit her angelic little body, they froze and I couldn't think or acknowledge anything else around me. The world seemed to stop, hold its place in time, just for that perfect moment. While she slept I stared at this precious little angel. My hands quivered as I slowly reached down to touch her little fingers and feel the softness of her skin. I ran the tips of my fingers very gently across her smooth face, and right away, I fell in love. Then my brother said, "I can wake her up so you can hold her." I was ecstatic, I was finally going to meet her! As I held her, I stared into her gorgeous blue eyes and knew instantly that I would love and cherish her forever with all my heart.
I pulled into the driveway and staggered into the loud, large and mysterious place. I was surprised at how many people were there. It could have been about twenty or so. I would not know because I am not highly educated. My education actually collapsed after being involved with you. I put all my attention and focus towards you. I can’t count the amount of times I missed class or skipped school. Whilst thinking of this, a young girl came strolling over. She had dark, long hair, brown eyes and a slim figure nearly identical to my own appearance. She wore a white garment matched with pure, silk shoes. Her glamour attracted people from all directions. She looked about twenty five years old.
Fairy tales have been around for hundreds of years, dating all the way back to at least the 1600’s and are still common narratives today. The way they are told has changed, but the purpose of them as not shifted. They used to be passed down by word of mouth or by writing, and now they are passed down through children’s book, to adult novels, to motion pictures and plays. Certainly they are used for entertainment, but fairy tales also teach us valuable life lessons in danger, safety, respect, friendships, and love.
Heaven and Hell, two contradictory destinations of the afterlife, where the first is filled with everlasting rewards and joy, while the latter encompasses eternal doom and torment. A person’s actions and behavior on Earth determine the fate of their soul’s destination after death, meaning that one must live a just and righteous life in order to enter Heaven. On the contrary, living a worthless life full of sin and wrongdoing will result in going to Hell as punishment. However, different worldly religions have differing views and interpretations of life after death, and no one can be sure of what to expect. These religious notions of the afterlife have become so engrained into the society and culture of the world, with expressions like “I feel like I have died and gone to Heaven” included in everyday dialogue.
