This quote was said by Roy Ayers when talking about how music brings people together and how musicians have a big impact on the world. Musicians and singers play instruments or sing for live audiences and in recording studios. Musicians perform in television, radio or movie productions. The job also consists of composing songs or creating vocal arrangements (“Bureau of Labor Statistics”). Becoming a musician is a great career choice for someone who wants to have a personally fulfilling job, opportunities to travel and exciting work activities. Musicians have personally fulfilling jobs. Musicians perform music for live audiences and recordings. They can sing acapella or with musical accompaniment. They also take part in making recordings. Musicians and singers usually travel great distances to perform at venues. They often perform in settings such as concert halls, arenas and clubs. People who perform at nightclubs travel frequently and may tour nationally or internationally. There are many jobs in cities that have high concentration of entertainment activities. Such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Nashville. Rather than playing big cities sometimes musicians go to five surrounding towns until they’ve built up a loyal following (“Summary Report For: Musicians”). A musician that would tour nationally would travel within one country. For example US artists would travel around different cities in the United States such as, venues in Pittsburgh, New York and Philadelphia.
