Not only were the people agitated with his poor effort, but more with his method to resolve the situation they were in. Hoover believed in the concept of rugged individualism. This was a term he used during his presidency in the stages of the depression. The idea of rugged individualism was created in order so that the government would be less depended on and that the people of the nation should fend for themselves more in times of distress. It would be obvious that during this era, a majority of the United States would not appreciate or accept the concept of rugged individualism. In fact, there was much tension and turmoil that was set out against President Hoover in the later stages of his presidency due to this factor. It was more so that the people were ready for a change. The nation needed the help and support of a dedicated government. It was more of a need that they longed for to be put out of the economic and social depression that they were in. Dwight D. Eisenhower’s strong and experienced leadership in the United States military was the main contribution of him becoming one of the greatest and mot successful presidents. Born on October 14, 1890, Dwight D. Eisenhower had a role of leadership. During his high school career he was a leader on the baseball and football field. Once he graduated high school he took off from school for to years to go work with his uncle and father at the Bell Springs Creamery and worked as a fire fighter. He acted as a leader by using his money to help pay for his brothers tuition for college. In 1911, Dwight was accepted into West Point Academy, this was the start of his military career that would take him far in his life.

It takes a great leader to accomplish what Franklin D. Roosevelt had accomplished and not every president that is put in the same situation can achieve the success that he has accomplished, even with a disability that might feel limiting. It is not easy being a leader with everyone looking up too you and expecting you to know every move. The first concentration camps were set up in 1933. Hitler established the camps when he came into power for the purpose of isolating, punishing, torturing, and killing anyone suspected of opposition against his regime. In the early years of Hitler's reign, concentration camps were places that held people in protective custody. These people in protective custody included those who were both physically and mentally ill, gypsies, homosexuals, Jehovah Witnesses, Jews and anyone against the Nazi regime. By the end of 1933 there were at least fifty concentration camps throughout occupied Europe.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born on November 30 1874 and died on 24 January, 1965. He was the son of politician Lord Randolph Churchill and Jennie Jerome (an American). He was a direct descendant of the first Duke of Marlborough. Physically he was a small man at 5 feet tall. Churchill attended Harrow and Sandhurst. When his father died in 1895, Churchill was commissioned in the fourth hussars. He later obtained a leave and worked during the Cuban war as a reporter for the London Daily Graphic.
