High school is like a whole new thing. It changed me in many ways it changed me to be responsible and to be mature. Here in high school they don't let things pass so fast like they used in middle school they know how we are. I stared to pay attention more in my classes and doing really good in my classes. I really like high school because you get to meet new people and you get to do more things. High school changed my way of acting and the way I react to things. High school really helped me a lot. High school was not a completely dreadful experience, but I did not get a really an exceptional education. As I entered high school, I thought it would be a whole new exciting chapter in my life. I started out as an involved student, and went through all of the Advance Placement and Honor classes, and managed to be at the top 12% of my class. In high school, I basically placed myself to enjoy it; I joined all of the extra curricular activities I was interested in. I was in band, tennis, swimming, dance team, and Key Club. Sometimes I was at school for about fourteen hours a day, four times a week.
College is an important decision to parents, but teenagers are more focused on social lives, rather than their careers. It is a difficult task to understand what their major should be, but more so where they are going to go to study that major. High school influence is the main factor which students base their college choice on, but the activities students choose in school effect where they go more than their out of school activities.
High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in. Going from middle school to high school is an adjustment from what students are used to. It’s not anything bad, just a big difference. Students gain more opportunities to learn, make new friends, and participate in more organizations and activities. Teachers aren’t as strict and let students make the choice
Let’s flash back in time to before our college days. Back to then we had lunch trays filled with rubbery chicken nuggets, stale pizza, and bags of chocolate milk. A backpack stacked with Lisa Frank note books, flexi rulers, and color changing pencils. The times where we thought we wouldn’t make it out alive, but we did. Through all the trials and tribulations school helped build who I am today and shaped my future. From basic functions all the way to life-long lessons that helped shape my character.
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. When I was a child I set aside one week of my year. This week would be spend to escape the hassles of daily life and help me to reconnect to who I was. Each summer I would spend these days at a bible camp, away from my home and with people I had never met. I would go on adventures and meet wonderful people, all without the presence of modern technology. Reconnecting with God and myself felt wonderful and was a refreshing way to end my summer before heading back to school. When high school rolled around I attended for two additional years but then the outside world got ahold of me, forcing me away from the place I called my “second home”. Junior high was a whole new world when I got there. There were so many kids and so many classrooms. I did not know what to think. I remember the coolest thing about junior high was having passing periods. I loved talking to all my friends and going to different classes. It was a lot more freedom. The most memories I have from junior high are teen canteen. It was the coolest thing known to a teenager at the time. It was a dance every other Friday and we would get ready for hours. Again, the work became harder but I still liked coming to school more than ever. My school days are filled with great experiences and many memories. It is fun to look back and see how much I have grown as a person and how far I have come. When I look at the past I smile because I had a lot of fun and I know that I have many more memories to come!
