Christianity has significantly contributed to world peace. Through organizations, interfaith dialogue, public statements, and more Christianity is working towards a supportive world, but also allowing others to contribute therefore creating world peace. Adherents of Christianity draw from the New Testament for guidance on how to live a harmonious life. As a model for peace, Jesus Christ is represented in the New Testament as someone who advocated for the absence of violence and serves as a model on how to live peacefully. One must fist be spiritually calm in order express their inner peace attitudes to the world. They are able to do so through the teachings of Muhammad, which are found in the Qur’an and the Hadith. Many misjudgments have been made about this religion, portraying it promote violence, when in fact it is essentially a religion about peace. Islam’s principle teachings of Non- violent action, charity, tolerance, and patience furthermore reinforcing its peaceful nature. Ways in which Islam has contributed to world peace are through organizations such as the ‘World Council for Muslims Interfaith Relations’ implement a number of programs including peace building in targeted conflict areas, eradicating poverty and implementing health and welfare for children. This organization has been working at an international level to achieve peace, therefore contributing to world peace. Islam is able to contribute to world peace in a variety of ways. One of these is, cooperative schools and living projects. These projects have been made in order to encourage peace and coexistence and motivate Muslims and non-Muslims to live peacefully side-by-side. One such project is the Jewish-Arab Centre for Peace at Givat-Haviva in central Israel, which is run by both Muslim and Jewish staff and offers a broad range of educational programs aimed at promoting peace according to religious principles. There is also a village within Israel that has a ‘school for peace’ where over 35000 Jews and Arabs have been trained in peace making skills.
