The Industrial Revolution is when Britain made technological advancements that helped the society grow inti a better civilization, this took place from the 18 to 19 centuries, manufacturing was often done in people’s homes, using hand tools or basic machines, the industrial revolution brought many great inventions into the world such as the sewing machine, flying shuttle, spinning mule. But a marvellous invention which changed the world forever, is the topic of this essay, the steam engine, what is the steam engine exactly? The steam engine helped to power the Industrial Revolution. Before steam, most factories and mills were powered by water, wind, horse, or man. How did the steam engine affect the society in the industrial revolution?
