The Renaissance was about art and new ways of imagining art such as realism. Realism was about picturing something to be more realistic and lifelike. People nowadays still use realism just like many famous artists during the Renaissance. Artists like Leonardo DA Vinci and Michelangelo had great success with this technique and became famously known throughout the Renaissance world. Education and literature also played a huge part in the Renaissance. The Renaissance allowed people of different kinds to have an education. Before this, not many people believed that education was really important, so unless you were rich, you didn’t receive an education. Humanism is the belief that people’s needs and values are additionally more important than religious beliefs. Humanism leads to people questioning the Roman Catholic Church. The Printing Press played a huge part during the Renaissance by allowing people to share ideas and write books and articles in their own language and not just in Latin. This allowed people to know what was happening in the world during the Renaissance time period and what the Catholic Church did as well, causing questions to arise. People such as Thomas More and Niccolo Machiavelli wrote pieces such as Utopia and The Prince for world leaders and people to discuss the topics that were mentioned in their writing and with this came the great William Shakespeare. Shakespeare’s plays opened up a way to express realism in acting and allowed people from all around to experience it. The Studia Humanitatis (Studies of Humanity) is a Latin term used by Roman writers describing a cycle of studies in the humanities including, grammar, rhetoric, history, poetry, and moral philosophy. Francesco Petrarch, an Italian scholar and poet of the fifteenth century, is considered by many to be the father of humanism. Petrarch 's influential texts had circulated widely throughout Florence and made their way into the government. Thus, humanist learning began to shape political ideologies in Florence. By inspiring humanist philosophy, Petrarch helped pave the way for the start of the Renaissance.
The renaissance had many contributions to art, literature, culture, education, and politics. During the Renaissance, new ways of writing and literature were created. There was a lot of art during the Renaissance, and new methods/ways of painting were created. Many people also traded culture and religion. New ways of governing and controlling were created. The Renaissance was the rebirth of the roman and greek ideas. During this time there were many great artist including Raphael , Leonardo Di Vinci , Michelangelo , and Donatello. I think Leonardo Di Vinci was the greatest artist of them all.
The Renaissance period also changed through literature. This new change in literature was important because it taught people to read,write and with learning how to read and write gave people the needed components to do for themselves, different ways to think and use knowledge to better themselves.. The Renaissance is remembered by many people for the works of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and Raphael. What many people do not know about the Renaissance is that the textile industry was more famous and profitable than the painter industry. Florence was the place to get any of your goods because of its location. Merchants went to Florence to sell their unique goods, buy, sell, or make cloth, and attend the guilds.

In French, the term Renaissance means rebirth, which is an accurate way to describe that period since it was then that many people chose to break away from the stagnation, incertitude, and extreme hardships that occurred during the Middle Ages and plagued most of Europe. The Renaissance period is noted for being a time when the population sought educational reform which increased literacy and many were able to master more than one skill set. Perhaps one of the most influential artists characterizing Renaissance Humanism in their work is William Shakespeare. He produced as many as thirty-seven plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems and miscellaneous verse before his death in 1616 (Gaines). In studying his work, numerous authors have found that it is one of the truest representations of the Renaissance Humanism movement. This movement identifies with a shift from the medieval movement, which mostly focused on god and faith, to a more individual approach to life. The Renaissance time period took place during the 14th and the 16th centuries it began in Europe. The Renaissance was a time of art, open ideas, and new beginnings. Before this time there was the Middle Ages. Then it was not a good time at all, it was full of sickness, disease, death, and the plague it killed almost half of Europe’s population. After the plague slowly decreased the population in Europe started to grow. Lots of new things started to happen. Like Bankers Merchants, and Tradespeople had a new market for their services. People became wealthier and had more money to spend. People began to build much bigger houses and buy more expensive clothes and people became more interested in the art and liturature. People began to learn foreign languages, they read more, played instruments, and finding more that interested them.
