The great Inca empire had an astonishing influence on Peru as well as Latin America. One way that the Incas influenced Latin America as well a space is by making freeze dried food. The Incas would make freeze dried food in case of a drought or crop failure. But how did such an early empire create something still used today? The Incas live up high in the Andes mountains in the altitudinal zone Terre Fría, it was freezing. The Incas would take potatoes or any type of crop and put cloth around it. They would take the wrapped crop and place it down to freeze over night. After it would freeze they would squeeze the moisture out of the potato and repeat this process until they made freezed dried food. The freeze dried potato would be called chuño.
The animals that were on the land were found to be basically fruits and vegetables. The Aztec’s and Inca’s seemed to eat only these things which were very healthy and good for their bodies. The Aztec’s and Incas seemed like a very well-devoted tribe to one another.

The Olmec, Mayan, and the Aztec Indians were very advanced civilizations for the 14th, 15th, and 16th century. They would used different kinds of resources found around them to create the technology they used to survive. For example the Olmec and the Mayans used cotton to create all kinds of garments, the Mayans also created a number system and their weapons and armor to go to war, the Aztecs adopted an education on how to hunt, how to fight, jewel cutting, metal polishing, song composition, science of the heavens, planing trees and flowers, cooking, cleaning, and many other things. Many cultures were influenced by these three civilizations as they had spread across the world and still use many of their techniques in our everyday lives.
The Aztec Empire stood for many years but never expanded much, only conquering small neighboring civilizations. The Aztec Empire was founded in the 6th century and didn’t fall until 1525. The Inca Civilization was a bit different. The Inca Civilization conquered as many lands that it could but quickly fell after just 100 years. In this essay I will be comparing the government, economics, and culture in the Aztec Civilizationand the Inca Empire.

The Columbian Exchange had coinciding and deviating impacts on the Americas and Europe in the period 1492-1750. Intermixing of ethnicities due to slavery and the transport of obscure crops and animals, such as maize and pigs, were similar in both places. However, the shift in population of each area was consequently different due to foreign crops and remote epidemics like small pox.
One of the good ways that Atlantic and Pacific worlds have impacted America was the Columbian Exchange. Columbus brought animals such as sheep’s, goats, horses, cattle all of which the Native Americans had never been introduced too. Columbus also brought new technology such as advancements in agricultural production, education and ware fare. He also brought plants such as potatoes, maize and sugarcane. All of these things were great and we still use them till today. The bad thing Columbus brought was diseases that helped kill Native Americans in mass numbers. In the ruins of ancient Peru and Chili, the remains of potatoes dating back to 500 B.C. have been found. Potatoes were such a part of Incan life that they not only ate them, but they worshiped them. "O Creator! Thou who givest life to all things and hast made men that they may live, and multiply. Multiply also the fruits of the earth, the potatoes and other food that thou hast made, that men may not suffer from hunger and misery."- Incan Prayer used to worship potatoes.
In the ancient ruins of Peru and Chile, archaeologists have found potato remains that date back to 500 B.C. The Incas grew, ate, and worshipped the potatoes. Also, the Incas would bury the potatoes with their dead. The Incan potatoes had purplish skins and yellow flesh. The Incas called them papas like some people still do today.

While living in the Peru desert the Nazca Indian grew crops from underground water sources traced on the land. Another way the crops received waters was when the Pacific Ocean’s morning mist wafted to the land, and the trees would trap the water mist in their leaves, so when there was no rain to fully water the lands, the trapped water mist in the trees leaves would water the crops. The Nazca Indians grew crops that highly dependent on water and many of these crops planted back then people eat still to this day. Based on iconography, excavated remains indicate that the Nazca people had a varied diet, composed of corn, squash, sweet, potato, yucca, ginger, banana, and even small traces of various fish.
