The French and Indian war altered the political, economic, and ideological relations between Britain and the American colonies. During the French and Indian War, there were some political relations that would alter the relationship between Britain and America. One of the Political relations that caused this was that George Washington wanted to get back into the army (Document C). One of the reasons that he would want to get back into the army would be because Washington had been relieved of his duty because they thought that he killed one of the French leaders. Another reason would be because he was defeated at Fort Necessity. The French would not like this because they thought Washington killed their leader. Another political relation was how a soldier in Massachusetts told his life while in the War in 1759 (Document D). The writing would let the people know that the British did not treat their soldiers well or with respect. The British would get mad because the way that they treated people was released to the people. Also, Rev. Thomas would rejoice over the Americans and the New Englanders (Document E). The British would beg their majesty because they wanted tax (Document F). Why they wanted tax was because the West Indies wanted tax, and also all of the Acts were passed at this time. Another reason was that the Franklin States wanted the stamp act to be repealed (Document F). The reason for this was because the tax collectors were getting tarred and feathered and many people did not like this. There was a newspaper that was released that showed some of the things that the Stamp Act did (Document H).
