The American government created their own enemy out of Fidel Castro, pushing Castro into a position where he had to fall back onto the Soviet Union’s help in order to escape from the overwhelming military capabilities of the U.S. Castro was a dictator and he did terrible atrocious things but no more than any other government, including the American government, but it cannot be denied that he did not make some very beneficial changes to many aspects of Cuban society which broadly include improved literacy rates amongst both children and adults, more accessibility to healthcare and housing. If World War 3 were to have occurred then and there, neither the Soviet Union nor Cuba’s would have been the ones to blame it would have the American government’s fault due to their continuously stubborn need to prove the dominance of the American way of life in its many differing aspects. The Cuban Missiles Crisis was a way the U.S. could condemn Castro and Cuba and made them and the rest of the American republic, that Castro was evil and threatened the order of the western world and slandered him for his actions which allowed them to justify their actions against Castro, dragging in innocent people into their campaign against communism and the frustration that no matter how many times they tried to kill Castro he continued to survive and lead Cuba outside the realm of American
