Imagine that you became a well-known women sex symbol. Imagine you went into depression and did an overdose. Those are the things that happened to Marilyn Monroe in the late 1950’s. Monroe impacted many people in the 1960’s and the people she impacted wanted to change. To wrap up the idea, Marilyn Monroe helped change people's lives today. You can see how that happened throughout her early life, rise to fame, and her death and legacy.

To start, Marilyn Monroe’s early life was filled with abuse and not enough care. Marilyn was born on June 1st, 1926 in Los Angeles, California, she was an only child. Her mom had psychiatric problems, her dad didn't really care about her. She spent most of her early life in foster homes or an orphanage, until a close family friend took care of her for a while. Her first memory was being smothered in her crib by her mom. She didn't remember it well, but she knew that had been her first. At age seven, she was sexually assaulted in a foster home. At age sixteen, she had been working in a mutation factory. She had to be responsible at a young age (Biography.com editors).Marilyn Monroe faced many problems in her early life but that didn't stop her.

After that, Marilyn started getting her fame for all the jobs she took. In 1946, she signed her first
