Who is responsible for killing Romeo and Juliet? The death of these two people was a tragedy, but might not have been entirely their fault. There are many people in this drama that could be to blame for this terrible misunderstanding. Romeo and Juliet’s stars were crossed from the beginning so it may very well be the very stars fault for being crossed. In my opinion though, the father of Juliet might have done a few things to drive his daughter and his son-in-law to their untimely deaths. Lord Capulet assumes that he knows what is best for
The ill-fated lovers, the ill-disposed parents and the ill-mannered prince all contribute to the deaths. Because of their decisions and because of their behaviors and characteristics they play their parts in the conflicts. The Prince is to blame because he failed to fulfill his duty to the people of Verona. The parents are to blame for the neglecting of their children and for demanding marriage. And the lovers are to blame for their rash decisions. Those are the culprits in Romeo and Juliet of the deaths and demise of all and they carry the burden of blame.
A person’s family may influence them substantially as they grow, from young children to love-struck teenagers. These family members might do so unintentually, but bad traits will rub off just as often as good ones, so will opinions and ideas. Lord Capulet is a character in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet who tries to make the best out of bad situations, but rarely succeeds and is coloured as quite a hypocrite. He attempts to not be blinded by hate but evidently this leads to many mistakes, usually ones he himself doesn’t end up making, but ones he leads others into. Lord Capulet’s bad parenting leads to the death of his daughter and her lover.
The main people that can be blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet are Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo. Juliet is one of the main people to blame for Romeo’s death. In Act 5, Scene 3, Romeo states, “Thy drugs are quick. This with a kiss I die.” This reveals that he killed himself to be with her, not knowing that she was faking her death to avoid marrying Paris.
At the end of, “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet,” the star crossed lovers kill themselves, for as the say throughout the acts, they both would rather die than be apart from each other. But have we really stopped and pointed the finger at the ones who are really responsible for the deaths of this famous couple? Of course, Romeo did willingly drink the poison and Juliet also stabbed herself, but who else could have influenced these irrational actions? Could it be the nurse and the friar for giving the two bad advice? Or would it be the families, for being filled with so much hate that they couldn’t see the love between Romeo and Juliet? Could the end result of these actions ultimately be the effect that the the star crossed lovers have caused
Capulet's Treatment of Juliet in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet During the time that Shakespeare was writing Romeo and Juliet, the roles of people in society and the family were very different. Men were superior to women in every way; the father had full control over every aspect of his marriage and family. Children, especially girls, would have been expected to everything their father bid them – from chores to marrying a suitable husband. Men controlled every aspect of his family. He also owned everything his wife owned.
whereas Lady Capulet isn't violent, but doesn't know her daughter very well and isn't perceptive of her feelings. The Montagues, carry on the feud to and don't look as if they care about Romeo's welfare. The parents don't fill their roles efficiently and could have shown more love towards Juliet than they did. There is a lot of blame to go around in the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare but in the end, Friar Laurence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. He agrees to marry them, which Romeo took as an act of approval for his and Juliet’s relationship. He also mapped out risky plans that he could have taken more caution when executing. Lastly, he was too wrapped up in the fact that their relationship could bring the Montagues and the Capulets together after too many years of conflict to see that the relationship would bring many dangers and that he should have at least attempted to slow it down.
Responsibility for Romeo and Juliet's Deaths There is much controversy to who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, a number of things and people could be held responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. But who is responsible for their deaths? Even before the play begins the grudge between the Capulet and Montague families has begun. Because of this, it becomes imminent that one thing or event will start off a sequence of incidents that will end in tragedy. The on-going feud between the Montague and Capulet families could be held responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, because if their was no feud between these families then Romeo and Juliet would have been able to have a safe normal relationship in which their family would have agreed to.
What is most responsible for the two lovely lovers – Romeo and Juliet’s death? In my opinion, there is no one particular person to really blame for their death. However, it is every single person should be blamed for the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. If I was answering the question of who were the few most responsible people for their tragedy it would be three people. Because of people’s decisions and different points of view, the people most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet are Lady Capulet, Nurse, and Friar Lawrence.
Although there are many factors to the tragedy of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, some are greater than others. The major contributor to the downfall of these lovers was Capulet, Juliet's own father. He brought upon the death of Juliet by forcing her to marry Paris, separating her from her Romeo, and rejecting her.
In conclusion, As we know they are dead, Romeo and Juliet are the real blames for their death. Romeo and Juliet's deaths were tragic and sad, Yes they could have avoided their tragic deaths, but the true blame is on them. The deaths of Romeo and Juliet was their fault. The reasons are too many to count but the main three is they were emotional teenagers without good thought processing. They were Irrational and not thinking. One of these opinions is that both Romeo and Juliet are equally to blame for their own deaths. Romeo nor Juliet knew how to resolve their own problems and went directly to Friar Lawrence. Whenever Romeo and Juliet failed to resolve their problem, their resolution was suicide. Romeo and Juliet also withheld the love affair between them, from their families.

In my ninth grade english class we read the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, it was a tough book in the beginning with the word choices used by the creative writer William Shakespeare. We were told to right an essay and gather evidence of who is the real blame for Romeo and Juliet's death. I believe the real killer in this book is Lord Capulet the father of Juliet.
In the story “ The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet “ the main characters get themselves in a pickle by falling in love knowing that their families are sworn enemies. Soon Romeo kills Juliet's cousin by accident, Juliet drinks a potion, some words get twisted and at the end both of the lovebirds end up dead. At the end of the story both families are devastated that both of their children pass away, but there are also many unanswered questions. The most asked question in the story is “ Who's to blame? ” and overall I believe everyone has a little part in influencing their death, but I believe that one person is to blame for most of this and I believe that it is the mother and father of Juliet.
