Literature is another life form of a human being. People devote their own personal experience and wisdom, and physically write them on a piece of paper, in hope for change or just to fill the mind of others with knowledge. Art provides the audience with a colorful and profound visual story. Both literature and art have the potential to provide individuals with new viewpoints in an infinite amount of subjects. They give so much power and wisdom to the people, that it takes great responsibility and dedication to move the hearts of the people. George Orwell and José Orozco were individuals that marked a major impact in the literature and art world. George Orwell wrote numerous essays and the well-known novel, 1984, in order to warn the people of totalitarianism. José Orozco painted to educate and remind the common man of its culture identity and visually show the cruelty and savagery of war. George Orwell and José Orozco dedicated their lives fighting for the equal rights and opportunities for the people, and warned others the dangers of oppression, and brought awareness of the importance of having complexion and uniqueness in one’s mind. …show more content…

Orozco spent his early years in the southwestern region of Jalisco, he was one of four brothers. His father was an editor for the newspaper, known as La Abeja. His mother was a housewife who often gave women in her community painting lessons. The family was finically in a difficult situation so they moved first to Guadalajara and then Mexico City, hoping they will improve their lives. Although they worked hard it not easy for a middle class family in Mexico to be financially successful. young Orozco would often visit an art shop. The shop was owned by José Guadalupe Posada, who was a political cartoonist. Orozco learned Posada’s techniques and his love for art
