The art world in Europe has always been all about mythology, religion and many others; it is consider as traditional art that they are very familiar with and use to. Once an explosion of what the other side of the world is like appears, it leads to what the artistic life is there. Chinese carries a long rich history in art that Europeans are eager to learn more about. The Chinese greatly influence European art through their unique artistic style in which allows European art to broaden up their artistic ideas that enhances its value. Art in Europe is ready to take another pathway and explore more into other artwork.
Europeans were exposed to the fascination of eastern Asian art through the stories of Marco Polo who claimed to have the only knowledge of the Asian life due to living there for a period of time. Generally, the wallpapers were incorporated with flowers, beast, and birds designs along with many others. A great painting example would be the Chinese white male pheasant on a rock amongst tree peonies; detail from chinese wallpaper, 1752, was by Crompton & Spinnage whom created this masterpiece for Duke the 4th of Bedford;it was created with much concise details that includes the traditional elements.
