Overtime the population will continue to grow hogue and higher every year. Although some people care about the horses more than others, the question will always be open to what the BLM should do to the horses. While there will always be controversy over the topic, the best thing to do is just keep an eure on the horse and allow the adoption of them but mostly let nature take its course and decide on what should happen to all the horses.
Everyone should care about this topic because lives are being taken due to this problem. Since there is an overpopulation of dogs in the United States of America shelters are overcrowded and are unable to help all the animals. To make room for more they euthanize some old ones to make room for the new ones. Also if there is an overpopulation in puppy mills some of them let the dogs go astray with no shots or anything. There could be a stray dog in your neighborhood with diseases and they could attack you at any moment. If this situation is not better addressed more animals will die everyday and the chances of someone either getting attacked by a stray dog with diseases or running over a dog will

Activist believe horse slaughter is barbaric; and believe congress's actions will lead to the reopening of slaughter houses in the U.S. (“Horse Slaughter May Return”). Many equestrians and breeders are against horse slaughter, but what happens if the people against slaughter actually caused the problem.
Equine veterinarians are animal doctors who provide medical care for horses. They examine, test and occasionally operate on or euthanize the animals. Travel to ranches and farms is often necessary, and equine vets have to work outdoors in various types of weather conditions. For decades, Scientists have contemplated the idea of using horses for the personal gain of children and adults with needs such as autism, heart conditions, anxiety, stress, and other disorders that have yet to be curable. Day to day horses are abused, people start a long downward spiral into horse racing gambling addiction, and less and less people are watching horse racing. But we can stop it all, by one simple step. Shutting down all horse racing. You can get involved by telling more and more people about this, or with “Horse Racing Week” and let’s stop all the horses that are born and have nowhere to go but the slaughterhouse. All the people’s families who are worried sick all the time. Let’s help. We cannot let one more horse die while running a race for the greedy, selfish horse racing industry.

There are solutions though to this problem. Such as spay/neuter programs, more shelters, and euthanization. There are better ways to prevent more animal overpopulation though like contracts that breeders have to sign. We need to put a stop to the issue of animal overpopulation. Would you want animals dying because there aren’t enough homes and you spending your tax dollars for animal killing chemicals?

There is a ‘Pro-Rodeo’ organization under the guise ‘Friends of Rodeo.’ They claim to be the only organization solely devoted to protecting and promoting the sport of rodeo, all of rodeo regardless of association affiliation. “What rodeo proponents fail to acknowledge is that rodeos harm animals that are forced to perform in a competition that is essentially a display of human domination over other species” (The Rodeo 1).

Animal cruelty is an issue that gets plenty of attention in the U.S. From all the commercials to the donation hotlines and tee shirts everyone in the states knows that it is a relevant issue, but what about testing on animals? It’s not as relevant or discussed as other forms of cruelty, but the truth is we kill thousands of innocent animals all for the hope that maybe a wrinkle or two may disappear. This is horribly insensitive and cruel and I really can’t believe that we could do this to such innocent and loving creatures. We have to accept that animals are not ours. Cosmetic testing on animals is not only cruel but illegal in several countries; innocent animals are constantly losing their lives for our vanity.
