The Holocaust was an event in time that was so horrendous no one wants to remember this event. The Concentration Camps held a big group of people and were used to exterminate a certain race. The Concentration Camps used extreme measures and little resources to terminate the inmates. Concentration Camps were are way for Nazis to hold a big group of people and abuse them for their own enthusiasm.
The Holocaust started after Germany lost World War 1 and needed someone to blame also known as a Scapegoat. The first concentration camp was “Dachau” in 1933. It was located in southern Germany, and had intended to hold political prisoners but soon became a place for many different groups of people. There was a variations of camps like labor camps, work camps, police camps, women camps and more. The Concentration camps held people prisoner were the …show more content…

The prisoners received very little food and water. The average daily amount of calorie intake for an adult male is 10,867 and women 80,000, but in the they would receive less than half of that. Working in horrible conditions was a normal thing for the prisoners. They would work in rain, snow, sleet, and hail. No matter the weather they were still recruited to work. Sleeping was not the norm in the camps. The bed were pieces of wood and many people would pile on one piece making it very uncomfortable . You had little to no privacy and no room to move. People had to pee in buckets and if caught peeing anywhere else they were beat or killed. Some of the inmates would drink there own urine to survive Many types of diseases were in the camps which took the life of most. There was colds, pneumonia,and frostbite and many more. People also got skin diseases like scabies, boils, and infections. The living conditions in the camp were not livable. People would starve, get diseases, and many more horrible things.
