Era of Iterum Classica (900AD – 1450AD)

When Emperor Fabian took power in 900AD he immediately had to face the consequences of his cousins wrong doings. He decided that having so much power in one pair of hands was wrong. He reestablished the senate that Emperor Caesar had abolished in 815 BC. He opened the senate and also introduced a president. He gave the president the same amount of powers as he himself had and said that the people shall appoint the president. He arranged the very first political campaign and in 901AD, the first president took office. His name was Oksadivus Cuernico and ran his presidential campaign on more rights and less religion in Walosia. At this time, the senate consisted of 100 senators and the president and Emperor. No ministers. The emperors powers slowly faded away over the next 500 years and today the President have the saying in most cases. The Emperor only has a veto and his powers are only formal. But in 900AD, the president and emperor had to cooperate in making decisions for Walosia. The senate’s powers were to ensure that the episode like that one with Victoria would never happen again. Every bill had to go through the senate and be voted into decision.

After the fall of Empress Victoria, her supporters were seen as traitors and banned from Walosia. They settled on an island west of Walosia and named it Purisha. The nation of Purisha was officially founded in 945 AD and still exists today. Both Walosia and Purisha have been at each others throat since that time and the last major war between the two nations occurred from 1939 to 1943. ...esulted in more focus in education and book publishing to the public. Normally you could only find hand written books in a library or university. Now, the books were printed with easy to read letters and available for everyone. The first newspaper also saw the time of day during this period and released its first edition the 7th November 1230. The just read “Newspaper” and is the predecessor to “Walosian times”. At least we think it is.
Other things that this era was famous for was the political decision to let female into public office. This resulted in female getting one step closer to having equal rights as men. Now, they had voting rights, right to public office, right to divorce without the male consent and the freedom to education. And the poisonous gas the scientist discovered, it later became the number one method of execution during the 17 to 18th century.
