John Baskerville was born in 1706 to John and Sara Baskerville in England. At the age of 17 years, he moved away from home to look for ways of educating himself. On the process, he had a chance to work with several companies enabling him to start his own business as a typographer and printer. Through his lifetime, he was able to publish several works. He had a complicated relationship with a married woman, Sarah Eaves, who was married to Richard Eaves. Later Richard died and they got married. Baskerville John died in 1775 and was burried standing following his request.
