As you go to college you may be afraid of new faces, strict professors and a larger environment. Are you nervous or scared about going to college? College can be different from high school in all sorts of different ways. There are many things that set college apart from high school that could possibly be from having helpful teachers in high school to transitioning to college and having strict intimidating professors or maybe your education was free in high school and when you go to college you end up paying thousands of dollars a year for education. Does the high school you attend offer a Post Secondary option for you to attend college while still in college? Sports in high school are different because you have players that are just there to play possibly since there friends might play the same sport. While in college; athletes are there for a purpose and that is to play the specific sports that they are skilled at. As USA Today stated “everyone is talented” in college and your spot could be taken at any time(Duffek,2017). Many times college athletes are paid to play with scholarships, and they can vary in different amounts. Although there are some colleges that allow walk ons, this means you could possibly be good at a sport and want to play at the next level. When you “walk onto” a college sports team you must prove yourself to show the coaches how bad you want to play. Being a walk on usually means you still are expected to pay college tuition but sometimes if the coaches like your skills you may be offered a scholarship in
