Words can have different interpretations depending on the person. One quote may have more of an impact than others. Everyone is influenced in a different way, so each quote will have a different importance. During hard times, these quotes give us guidance and reassurance that the struggle will soon diminish. We all have days that seem like the entire world is on our back, and everything we do is wrong. On these days, I often find myself reading a quote by Henry Ford. He said, “When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” Henry Ford was a man who was determined to change the world; he created the Ford Model T and developed the assembly line. I have also had several opportunities to share this quote with my friends. Nearly everyone that I have shared Henry’s wise words with have said they enjoy it as well. They have said that they remember the words and that it has helped them on difficult days to keep persevering. Henry Ford’s quote has inspired and encouraged me through difficult times to never give up. The hard times in my life have challenged and shaped me; these times have helped me to become a better person by forcing me to continue on through challenges. It will continue to inspire me into the future by reminding me that something difficult is not impossible, but it is merely a challenge. When I am struggling to succeed, I remember Ford’s quote and I continue to work because I know there will soon be an end to the struggle. Each person has their own challenges they face everyday. We also have a choice to make along with the struggles and that choice is our response to the challenge. The quotes we love inspire us in different ways and hold a different value. Some are humorous, while some are more serious. No matter the type of quote, it inspires us to keep
