Health Education Major Essay

Education is one of the most versatile majors. Studying education major helps me now to be an effective, inspirational, motivation, and positive person. I have learned from this field, I can influence children, teenagers or adults behavior in a way that can change their lives. A Health Educator is much more than an educator, I can be as a counselor, coach, or community health educator. It is very important for me to plan short-term and long-term goals in order to achieve my future career.

I have found myself extremely interested in college education major since there is not only one career path in the field of education. It is more likely to become a teacher, principle or an administrator. Another direction that can go within this field is counseling, curriculum development, and educational policy. Education major really interests me, but working as teacher is not my passion, I may choose to work as a Specialist in the hospital. At the moment, despite the fact that I earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion, I want to continue my education. One of my short-term goals is studying a Master’s Degree in Community Health Education at University of Northern Iowa and volunteer in local organizations. My future career goal is to become a Diabetic Patient Educator and start my own business by establishing a coffee shop that provides healthy, sweet recipes. After completing the Master’s Program, I hope to begin working in the Diabetic Department of a large institute, such as a hospital or clinic.
