Hazardous Driving
Driving in the recent decades has progressively gotten worse due to all the technological advances and carelessness of drivers on the road. Police officers are finding more and more ethical reasons for arrests and/or the fining of people. Habits referring to drivers being distracted, overly aggressive and dangerous to society need to be addressed. These factors are generated from the actions of the drivers by tailgating, excessive road rage, and texting while driving.
Tailgating is a dangerous issue in society due to the problems and collisions it may cause. Tailgating is the act of getting too close or riding the bumper of the car in front of them. Most individuals that perform the act of tailgating are usually angered, frustrated by other drivers on the road, or are in a rush to get to their destination. From personal experiences, of performing or undergoing it, I can vouch that causing a problem on the roadways is not the smartest thing to do. Reckless driving, speeding, and breaking laws can all be categorized as a form of road rage. As an impatient person, I sadly have multiple experiences enduring or partaking in the act. I can not stand when people drive too slow, do something illegal, or try to cut me off. I will often hold my horn down for an obnoxious amount of seconds and will either pass them aggressively, or make them move over.
Texting and driving has become one of the biggest epidemics of this generation. With technology flourishing more and more drivers become distracted and involved in accidents. Hundreds, maybe thousands have already lost their lives due to being a victim of texting and driving. Whether it is the person behind the wheel or a random car that swerves/ rides into the opposing lane. Distracted driving will continue to affect society in a negative way as it progressively gets
