‘‘Getting outdoors is a great way to get your mind off the things that affect your life and lets you enjoy the things you love’’- Hank Shaw, author of Hank Shaws Hunting and Fishing Stories. Shaw makes the statements because in the times we live in now, millions of people hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. In this paper, I will talk about the benefits, and joys that people have when they walk in the woods to hunt or go out on the lake to fish. There are many events that come with hunting and fishing, such as competitions, chasing trophy animals, and catching the biggest fish. Many other articles and stories talk about these things that people should have in their lives. Hank Shaw, author of hank shaws hunting and fishing stories, he talks about the joys of getting outside and doing some of the things people love, in his case duck hunting. Shaw states “Divers are a type of duck that are hunted for skill or passion, and hunts can be packed with action and other times there can be no action at all”(page 5). Hunting is a sport that can be unpredictable ,but can be an awesome experience if you go to the right place at the right time.
