What is the best holiday? Well, it depends on who you ask.
If you were to ask me; I would say Halloween. Mainly because I love Halloween.
Its just great to me.
Halloween is great because there are haunted houses to go to.
Haunted houses are places you go to to be scared. They have all sorts of scary stuff like flashing lights, clowns, stuff chasing you, and chain saws. Haunted houses are just awesome, and it’s a good place to take your brother for a good scaring! Its always fun scaring your little brother.

When you were a kid, on what occasion did you have the most fun? Christmas? Halloween? On christmas, you get presents and on halloween, you get candy. The holiday you prefer will probably depend on the type of person you are. There are a plethora of reasons that you would like one and not the other. They both have benefits and disadvantages. These two holidays are interesting. They have different origins relating to different religions. Both both have an appeal to kids too. But, despite all the good things about the holiday, there are still some disadvantages concerning health.(Both Physical and Mental)
Late autumn has arrived and with it comes the dark magic of Halloween--and, of course, the
Terrifying, suspenseful, and shocking, Halloween is a masterpiece of horror. This movie is extremely successful due to the many horrifying scenes and overall suspense. Perhaps the most terrifying idea in the movie is that Michael Myers is still out there, waiting for his chance to kill
Throughout the nation catastrophes occur on a daily basis; however there are a few catastrophes that have taken national precedence and left a traumatized nation. Most usually these catastrophes are an act of terrorism. Michael Nelson (2010) describes the nature of such terrorism catastrophes as disconcerting, unanticipated and that unnerve “the country’s sense of safety and identity” (p. 20). When such “a traumatic event results in the death of civilians” and “calls the nation’s institutions or values into question” the nation as a whole looks to their leader, our president, to offer solace and calm through a responsive speech (Campbell and Jamieson, 2008, p. 102). In Presidents Creating the Presidency, (2008) the authors have labeled these speeches as a national eulogy in which they usually occur at the sight of the
This is a very hot topic issue with me! And I truly hope many others that either haven’t spoken out against it yet, or haven’t known how to speak against it. Really start? Maybe, it’s because somehow so few have been educated on halloween’s history. Or the history of witches and witchcraft in our Country and around the world. Why, is it that so many attach or try to attach witches with Halloween? Witches have been seen in books and movies as ugly, evil and cruel! They were never suppose to become role models to our society, or children ever! In fact most don’t know what really has happened in there secret meetings, because they remain secret for a very specific
Haunted houses may not be worldwide, but they are one of the biggest traditions of American Halloween. Even though they are famous, their history is very little known. It started in 1802, when a British sculptor known as Marie Tussaud sculpted wax figures of decapitated French figures. She showed her grotesque creations to the public, resulting in frightened British audiences. She also created death masks of the French Revolution’s many guillotine victims. Marie set up a London exhibition known as the “Chamber of Horrors.” When Tussaud’s collection gained more popularity, the public thirst for horror increased (3).
One year my family and I decided to go to the Niles Haunted House. This is one of the most well-known haunted houses in the southwest Michigan area. We would go through these scary buildings and the inside was pitch black. You couldn’t even see what was right in front of you. One of the memories from there was a little girl with a baby doll. The girl would not talk. She would stand next to you and follow you from a distance. It was so scary, but a fun
The tell tale signs of an approaching Halloween include your favourite candies having undergone a spooky makeover, horror movie marathons on the television for you to watch alone (or are you?) late at night, haunted houses popping up seemingly out of nowhere and of course, who could forget the infamous jack-o-lanterns?
A general consensus would confirm that most people’s favorite holiday is Christmas. It is a holiday observed by all people around the world, but is most significant to Christians.
One reason that I think that this movie is a halloween movie they kidnaped Santa and tried to kill them. Jack Skellington tried to take over Santa place for Christmas. In fact Jack Skellington tried to steal Christmas, and Santa was going to be kill by Oggy Boggy. This is the main reason that I think that this movie
Holidays are a time of heartwarming, memories and joy. The aroma of the food always brings a smile to my face. Christmas is the most wonderful time in the world. Christmas and Thanksgiving are all about love and being able to give back. Both of the holidays are the most celebrated holidays in the United States. My two favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas because it unites family from different parts of the world together and the homemade food brings back the fun and touching memories.
There is no arguing Walt Disney practiced what he preached. In fact, he did what he did so well that people continue to bring others to see what he did to this day, that being Disneyland. First, we’ll start by learning about the background history of Disneyland. Next, we’ll compare Disneyland from when it first started to what it has developed into. And finally, we’ll explore all the eight parks and what they have to offer.
