One of the reasons a therapist/case worker should confront their client is when the client is saying one thing but their body language is saying another. For example a wife is saying she is not unhappy with her husband but her body language shows that she gets up-tight every time her husband is mentioned. Another example for when a therapist should confront their client is when the client has claimed to have a certain set of values, but their behavior violates those values.
