A Dermatologist is a medical doctor that treats a wide variety of conditions that affect the skin, hair and nails. As with any business there are many decisions that must be made by both the doctor and patients in a dermatological office. I have worked in a dermatologic office for about three years and have been a patient in the past. Having both been an employee and a patient, I have dealt with a lot of factors that influence both the supply and demand of dermatologic care.
Another good aspect of this job is that they only focus on the health of children, rather than all of the age groups. An adult and a child are so different, they are nearly two different species. If a child is brought to a doctor who specializes in all age groups, the child would not be getting the same kind of attention that he or she would be getting, compared to that from a doctor who specializes only in children. Doctors that specialize in all age groups are used to make quick, rough, and fundamental actions needed for the healing of the patient. One does not simply treat a child the same way an adult would be treated.
An ob-gyn is what you probably refer to as just delivering babies but it’s a lot more then that. An obstetrician has to do with giving patients medicine, making sure a patient and the baby are healthy for a long nine months, being the one their for the delivery process, etc. To be an obstetrician/ gynecology, you have to go to school for quite some years but not just that also training classes. When in college learning to be an ob-gyn, you get to experience a lot of hands on things which is always fun! Last but not least before I begin to explain lots of things about an ob-gyn is that being an obstetrician takes a lot of work and effort but it entertains me more than any other career.
