I am writing to you today to express my concerns about the gun control laws. The laws that we follow were made in the 19th century so they can’t control the usage of 21st century weapons. In april last year i remember that i was caught in a gun scare at Penn station. The only thing i can remember is how scared i was that there was someone walking around with a gun trying to kill me. I don't want anyone to ever have to feel that way because it is the worst feeling i have ever felt. I feel like kids should feel safe at school and they should never have to think that when they leave home in the morning it is the last time they are going to see their parents. If that shooting has showed me anything then it has showed me that a shooting could happen anywhere and even if the town is safe and in the town i live in no one thinks something like this could ever happen but they could be wrong someday. Another reason i have to express is when there was a shooting threat posted online about a school in a town close to ours there school went on lockdown and police came to surround my school. When student heard of this they were scared to leave the classroom and they were scared to walk through the halls. In my 3rd period class there was a group og girls who didn't want to use the bathroom because they were scared someone was inside the school. After that class one of my friends and I were walking down the hall and she made us walk faster past the doors because she didn’t know if someone was going to shoot us through the day. It is horrible that at age 15 and 16 people have to go in large groups to the bathroom or run past doors because there may be someone trying to hurt us.
