I have been blessed with a family that can go on a lot of vacations. I have been able to go to places like Aruba, Mexico, Disney, and Universal. There have always been two vacations that I have wanted to go on and never gotten the chance. Those two vacations are a trip to the Grand Canyon, and to the Caribbean. Now I have to decide which vacation I would go on if I had to choose. Deciding between two vacations is very hard, even after researching the costs of travel, the price of food, the excursions, and how much I would enjoy it. My love of excitement and scenic views leads me to consider a vacation in the Grand Canyon. I would drive my car to Memphis where I would park it in a secure lot, where it would stay for the entirety of my trip. …show more content…
First off, the prices of travel are very different. For the Grand Canyon trip, the plane trip to Flagstaff is around $550 and once I would get there, I would have to rent a car, and pay for gas all week. For the cruise, I would have no extra fees for transportation after you get there. Plus I would be able to drive to New Orleans from Tupelo and I would not have to buy a plane ticket. The prices and quality of food would probably be very different also. In the Grand Canyon the hotel would provide my breakfast, but I would have to pay around thirty dollars a day for lunch and dinner. While on the cruise, all on ship meals I would eat would be free except for the three meals I would have to eat off ship for the excursions. While the food might be cheaper on the cruise, it would probably be of poorer quality due to the fact that the cruise ship and their staff would have to prepare meals for the whole ship. In the restaurants that I would be eating in at the Grand Canyon, the meals e cost more, but they would be of better quality due to the fact that they do not have to mass produce. You also have to consider the excursions. The excursions in the Grand Canyon would be based more around sightseeing than excitement.
A surprising fun fact about the Grand Canyon is that it is one of the few natural la...

...costing, hot weather, regular, lay on the beach vacation, I suggest taking a trip to Key West, Florida, but for those outdoor types, like myself, who want to experience one of the most breathtaking places in the world and literally sit above the clouds, a vacation getaway to Denali National Park in Alaska is your cup of tea. The colder weather in Alaska was not as bad as I had thought it to be. Common snow clothes were suitable outdoors clothing for the time of the year I went and regular camping supplies worked out for me during my stay. Denali National Park is hands down the most beautiful place in America and is worth every penny it costs you to travel there and experience nature in its purity. It was a life altering experience climbing mountains high above the clouds and seeing how truly magnificent and compelling the earth must have looked thousands of years ago.

There are a wide variety of restaurants in New York City. You can eat cheap at places like Arturo’s Pizzeria, McHales, Hi Life, and Zen Palate just to name a few. On the other hand you don’t want to miss out on the celebrity owned restaurant’s like Fashion Café, Planet Hollywood, Tribeca Grill, and Nobu. Since I’m going to be staying for three whole days, we’ll just say that I will eat approximately three meals a day which is a total of nine meals. If I ate four of those meals at twenty dollars or less and the other five at seventy or less, I would need approx...
A couple of years ago during one of those, on a whim after spending a few days in Arches National Park, my wife and I detoured to the snowy, icy south rim of the Grand Canyon. We journeyed toward it from the east side but got turned back at the National Parks’ gate; the road was snowed under from there on up. After retracing our steps, we traveled down to Flagstaff and spent the night, driving in my four by four truck up to the South Rim the next day. It was an eerie experience to stand on the edge of the South Rim and see only cloud; fog shrouded the canyon’s great gap, leaving us with visual doubts that anything was really there. Defeated, we hit the Visitor’s Center and gathered information so we could go back sometime in the spring or fall with weather more to our liking.
With over two hundred miles of trails to travel, it is easy to see the tranquility of this distinguished place, and why so many noble men gave their lives protecting it. From tents to pull-through, private or public, and campgrounds there are plenty of options and places for you to park your camper or pitch your tent. Only five miles from the national park, Jackson Hole offers several nice hotels. Grand Teton National Park can be enjoyed by everyone with its forty-two mile scenic loop drive. If you do not want to drive, you can sign up for a scenic float trip that takes you straight through the heart of this magnificent mountain range on the Snake River. Another option you have to viewing the serenity of this place is through a scenic cruise on Jenny Lake. On this cruise you would spend approximately 1 hour learning about the history and geolo...
Ask yourself “if I could take a trip ANYWHERE where would I go” well, I asked myself the same question where would I go? Here is my answer, I would go to the Bahamas because I think that I need to try something new. I think that if I went to the Bahamas then i would try everything because i am very deprived as in i don’t take advantage of the things i could be doing.
If I had no limits as to how much I could spend on a vacation, I would take a trip to different cities in Mexico. My dads side of the family is Latino and many of my relatives live in Mexico. My month long trip would consist of a variety of cities I have visited before and others that I would be visiting for the first time. I would take advantage of Mexicos rich culture by participating in the peoples customs and getting as much experience as possible. The trip would be very meaningful because my heritage is something that I am very proud of and passionate about.
Where to go on vacation is a popular conundrum in many households every year. People enjoy going out of town to relieve stress and get away from work for a short time. The beach and the city are both great places to vacation. They are both open anytime of the year. It depends on what you want to accomplish where you should decide to go. I hope the next few paragraphs help you make that tough decision easier.
One of the most enjoyable things in life are road trips, particularly to the Colorado mountains. Getting to spend time with your family and friends, while being in a beautiful place, is irreplaceable. The fifteen-hour road trip may feel never-ending, but gazing at the mountains from afar makes life’s problems seem a little smaller and causes worries to become a thing of the past. Coming in contact with nature, untouched, is a surreal experience. My family trip to the Colorado mountains last summer was inspiring.
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
