My application should get your attention as I can bring an extensive experience in the media industry, along with teaching experience at Undergraduate level and to Foundation Years. Moreover, a remarkable feat in my profile is my willingness to contribute to youth development.
In fact, as far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. Since the first time my grandfather, who had been a Dean at a secondary school for 26 years, took me to his workplace I could feel the gratitude of his students for the incredible advancements they went through and the achievements they reached under his guidance. It had to start with a challenge: my module (Documentary Filmmaking Practice) was suffering a negative peak in popularity. The first day of classes, only two students were sitting in front of me: but a couple of weeks later, 23 were populating the tiny classroom and spreading the voice about that stimulating course and the lure of its new teacher's methods. I caught their attention through providing them with a broad look at different film genres and techniques, in order to help them developing a personal hybrid documentary form with awareness of the different creative possibilities; then I brought them to work on the field, and the results were remarkable. Despite the limitations of that short course, I stimulated their creativity providing guidance to the students even when off-duty. When my contract expired the subsequent year, I sadly had to renounce to a renewal due to my full-time commitment in the TV industry in Rome.
