People in third world country’s suffer under the hands of their corrupt leaders things like this happen in the united states, but they are not as noticeable as they are elsewhere. In third world countries like Syria, there is a lot of injustice in many things especially in the government. In certain instances, they call themselves a democracy and don't let their people vote in important decisions. Government corruption is a huge problem that needs to be solved and even though you don't know it, it effects everything you do.
There are many different kinds of corruption everywhere, but government curruption makes life hardest for people everywhere. Such as Anup Shah from Global Issues voices, “Corruption is both a major cause and a result of poverty around the world. It occurs at all levels of society, from local and national governments, civil society, judiciary functions, large and small businesses, military and other services.” For example, in Africa 2007,a rural village was supposed to get new roads put in. after the cost was finished workers of the road crew where interviewed and it was found that the workers were on estimate payed half as much as they were supposed to make. it was also noted that workers were charged more materials that they “stole” when in reality, the materials never showed up.(Pande)As Benjamin A. Oklen from ACRN explains,”The past 10-15 years have seen an increase in anti corruption initiatives that are based on the belief that corruption may be reduced if proper incentives are implemented and focused towards politicians, bureaucrats, and civil society.” Although in reality, it is the not as prominent country’s that need help.
