1. There were 4 observed Gorillas in the enclosure: a) Two Adult Females b) One Adult Male (Silverback) c) Zero Juvenile Females d) One Juvenile Male e) Zero Infants f) Four total number of Gorilla’s in enclosure g) There were no other different species in the enclosure 2. The names I have given the gorillas are as followed: o Leon- Male, Adult Silverback Gorilla, is 29-years-old (San Diego Zoo, March 16, 2018), is large in size the Zoo has him as weighing in under 400lbs, Leon’s head is larger than the female’s with a notable extension of the skull at the top which displays a brown patch of hair, his brow ridge is much more expressed than the female primates, his eyes are equally spaced-closely relatable to human attributes, he has a catarrhine nose. Leon has small ears that appear to be less detailed than humans, he has muscular pectoralis muscles, he has mostly black short to medium length hair besides the silverback attribute noting him as the dominate male. Diane has a catarrhine nose, her eyes are equally spaced such as humans, her ears are small with the appearance of less detail than humans, and her brow ridge is hairless followed by a hairy forehead. She has mostly black hair with some reddish-brown hair above her eyebrow ridge, and a hint of grey on top of her head to the back of her neck. Diane is Leon’s half-sister therefore, it was noted that Diane is on birth control to prevent interbreeding although, it was said that it has not been an issue (San Diego Zoo, March 16, 2018).
