Have you ever asked yourself if going to college was really necessary? People who go to college and get a degree are way ahead of everybody else. They will get a better paying job than the average high school graduate and will have a lot more knowledge(Lynn). It will also open a lot of doors(Pennell). College is necessary because getting a college degree, meeting new people and learning new ideas, and it’s a major life achievement. Getting a college degree is one of the most important things someone will ever receive and accomplish in their whole entire lifetime(Lynn). With a college degree, there is a lot more to explore for a career(McCabe). On average, a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree earned $30,000 more per year than a high school graduate, or about $500,000 more over a lifetime. Since 2013, more and more jobs are requiring some kind of college degree to be accepted to work there(“ProCon”). Another advantage is; it will open a lot more doors. A lot more opportunities will become available(Pennell). When going to college, there is not just doing boring work all the time(All NBC shows). There are foreign languages and learn all about their culture.
