Global Warming
Forewords
Global warming is the result of a large concentration of CO2 and greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere. Human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and emissions are held responsible for this situation developing. The climate change is the result, and a factor of global warming. There are several factors impacting global warming, and these include ozone layer depletion, carbon cycle, pollution, human actions, and orbit of the earth. There is a debate going in the erudite circle on the role and responsibility of human actions in global warming. The impacts of this situation developing are estimated to be far reaching. The ocean has an important role in the mechanism of global warming as it impacts the rate of warming of the atmosphere, and the impact of global warming is manifested in the rise of its level. In this paper, the mechanism of global warming, its factors and effects have been examined.
A Synopsis on Global Warming
Global warming is a phenomenon and impact of climate change. An average upward change in global temperature over a period, a few decades, is the impact of climate change caused by human actions. The deforestation, use of fossil fuels, emissions, and the likes cause such environmental changes as rising sea levels, enhanced atmospheric temperatures, and extreme weather conditions. Whether human actions are responsible for global warming is a controversy doing the rounds. The greenhouse effect which refers to retaining of a part of the sun's radiation in the earth's lower atmosphere leading to increasing in the earth's temperature is the cause of global warming. Also, depletion of the ozone layer is a major source of global warming. However, human actions in burning ...

...he level of CO2 in the atmosphere., deforestation causes increase in environmental temperatures as forests have immense energy absorbing capacity. The controversy regarding the role of nature and human actions in the global warming continues, but its mitigation is the cause of concern. The nature takes its own way to balance the situation by developing geothermal equilibrium that may take a considerable period. Global warming has to be examined from several angles as it contains elements of physics; chemistry, geography, and geology. It’s wide ranging estimated impacts on human life in near future warrants immediate actions. Humans have to regulate their activities to bring the situation under control before it goes out of hand. Scientists and environmentalists all over the world have to develop mitigation strategies to control the rising menace of global warming.
