Global Warming

Global warming is a major problem around the world that many people choose to remain blind to. This disaster is effected many ecosystems like the polar ice caps and ocean currents. Global warming is affecting humans more than you think a little extra heat could cause. Unfortunately, this problem cannot be fixed but there are simple things that you can do to help slow down the slow process. Scientists have discovered that animals the live at the North Pole have recently became in grave danger. Mostly the polar bear because of the ice caps are melting giving it less land to live on (NRDC, 2008). If we do not do to slow down global warming, this marvelous bear will only be found in zoos by 2050 (NRDC, 2008). The hot dry weather will lead to other disasters like wild fires (Dye, 2013). The record was broke in 2006 with the total close to 100,000 wild fires destroying almost ten million acres (Dye, 2013). There was the death of two hundred and twenty five people due to severe heat waves in July the same year (NRDC, 2008). This issue is important because it affects so many things. Over time this will change all of the world’s ecosystems (Dye, 2013). Any animal unable to adapt to these new changes will go extinct. The polar bear is one of those species that is very close to this tragic consequence. Another thing that global warming will affect is disease. As the temperature rises by 1°F a century, the insects carrying disease will roam north bringing it with them (Mixit Productions website design , 2011). This could result in plagues and a higher death count to common diseases. 1°F a century may not seem like a significant amount to worry but our worlds ecosystems are very fragile and need to be taken care of (Mixit Productions website... ... middle of paper ... ...e Change.
