Poverty has been an important factor to determine a country’s prosperity for a long time, In 2008, most countries, either developed countries or developing countries, still have certain are still suffering from the property. From my perspective, countries which are suffering from poverty will be poor forever and it is a trap which the people will never escape, even poverty will be decreased due to better governances or better technologies, but poverty still exists definitely. Natural diseases, weak governances and high unemployment rates are restricting a country getting rid of poverty. First, natural diseases must influence a country’s economy. For example, Africa is always the origin of different kinds of disease no matter what they do, they still cannot prevent those disease, for example, Ebola(Sachs, J). Because of the diseases, Africa cannot move forward and develop quickly. Also, there are always some countries which are suffering from drought or insect damage(Sachs, J). Although some natural disasters can be partly prevented by technologies; for instance, drought can be fought with an irrigation system and insect damage can be prevented by …show more content…

According to what Sachs, J said,“aid package should be directed towards those countries with a reasonable degree of good governances.” Rich countries are willing to help those counties which are organized and disciplined. They cannot just donate the money and supplies to other poor countries randomly, the poor countries must have good governances at least. Meanwhile, even if a poor counties finally get money and supplies from other countries, people in that poor country still cannot get the aid packages directly, because the aid packages have already been collected by central governments.
