George Washington started his military career at the age of 20. He started in the French and Indian war. There he gained reputation for his bravery. He later faced defeat at fort necessity during French and Indian war. His top qualities were toughness, persistence, bravery and motivation. He didn’t permit a defeat to stop him. With persistence and dedication, George Washington worked hard and was named chief of the continental army on December 23, 1783. Bravery and heroism and battle gained him respect always being in front lines of battle.
