Gender inequality and income inequality is an issue that has been happening around the world for decades. It refers to the unequal treatment of individuals solely to due to their gender, whereas income inequality is the unequal distribution of the economy across the population. This issue can be found in many countries around the world, one example of this would be India where the women In india suffer greatly because of something as simple as their gender.

Parents perception growing up with the indian cultural have made them believe that education for girls is a waste as they will eventually live with their husband and have no use to the family, thus makes the country believe that these women will end up just being
Not only is it harder for women to find jobs as they are usually seen by the indian population as “housewives” and so for them to actually have a real job other than that just makes it a lot harder for them to be able to support their family and themselves as they are perceived “useless”. Another huge issue that is happening is that in India the rich is becoming richer and the poor is becoming poorer.
A professor of economics in Jawaharlal Nehru university states that they should raise taxation for the wealthy.

Another solution for this issue is that women should be able to participate on work related things. Not only does many indian girls think that a huge solution to the inequality of education between men and women would be having more female professors however in India women make up only 5% of the total police force.
Women In India are seen are “housewives” and that is how they are perceived by the people in india due to the society’s norms so they aren’t seen as something more useful than being housewives which makes it difficult for girls to put themselves out in the real world and find a way to support herself and her
