The road to success is not easy to get but with hard work and hope some people will have the american dream. The American dream is a myth to some people. Women are revoked their freedom because they are girls. The Great Gatsby was a book most people read in high school and it was a lot of quotes making it about the american dream. Most people believe that the american dream is an illusion because they don’t wanna work hard to get what they want. So they can provide for their kids. The main Idea is people with little money know how to control what they have and don't spend it all at once. “A few years later, when I got to America on a college scholarship, I realized that the real American Dream was somewhat different from Dallas.” (Zakaria). I went on ‘The Atlantic’ and found this “That dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement.” (Truslow Adams). Meaning you have to do something superior in a way to give the best for yourself and your children. He says “that dream of a land” which means people think the american dream is a actual dream. “Curiously enough, in a country where material changes are extraordinarily rapid, this moral and political frame has the stability of dogma.”(The Atlantic) they are saying that the laws in this country changes a lot and that everyone doesn’t have the teaching skills.
