Being an American we are granted the freedom of speech. Should this be limited? Should we have to sacrifice that right to please certain people, or should people just suck it up and let us have this right? Every since 1787 we have been living with a document that states our rights as americans known as the Constitution to make everyday life easier. Freedom of speech has been practiced throughout history and have been questioned and exercised which have led to some extremely positive outcomes. So if we make sure we look at the opposing end when making decisions, to only say stuff when necessary, and appreciate the constitution by leaving it alone and following what says thing should be just fine. If there isn’t a reason, why would you say it all it would do is start a war that doesn’t need to start. Since we have the freedom of speech watch the things you say because they can come like a thief in the night and bite you in the rear. With this being said people shouldn’t be punished for it. If you said something, and someone didn’t see your side of what you said, and got offended by it you wouldn’t want to be punished for that would you? People aren’t thinking about this they are just thinking now in the moment, not the long term- effects of what problems could occur from what you said. For an example say that trees were cut down in the park to open the space up a little, some people would appreciate that, because now there is more room to run. Others would not take it so well because they would say you’re harming the animals habitat. So there are different view to every problem, and sometimes it is good to choose a side, but other times it is good to stay neutral and not throw gasoline on a raging fire. Being the people we are we should be able to self regulate
