Writing often comprises of elements that allow works to distinguish themselves apart from other literature. After reading “Learning to Read and Write” and “How to Say Nothing in 500 Words,” some of these elements caught my eye. Initially, I found myself exploring the concepts of the type of audience that the essays would be drawn in and the overall purpose of these writings.
