Francis Drake has been part of history for the longest. He was born in Tavistock, United Kingdom around the 1540’s. Drake was an English sea captain, privateer, navigator, slaver, and politician of the Elizabethan era. Drake then died in January 27, 1596 in Portobelo, Colon, Portobelo District, Panama. Nevertheless, when Drake was alive, he accomplished a lot. One of his first accomplishments was that he wrote a book, After that he sailed with Captain Lovell to the Caribbean o a slave trading enterprise and then later on he sailed to the West Indies. Some of his favorite quotes were, “great things have small beginnings.” and “It isn't that life ashore is distasteful to me. As we go on we are going to be getting better and at the end of the day we are going to have what we wanted. This goes with the fact that he was always traveling everywhere because he wanted to because a great person but at the beginning of all that he was struggling because he didn’t really have what he needed to travel and didn’t know a lot of people. Even Though, he didn’t really know anybody he still managed to continue and get through what he wanted to get done. Around here is where he planned his whole hoax. Wh he managed how he was traveling and stuff he planned this whole hoax where he was going to be using a plate made out of cement and a lot of paper. His plan was that he was going to hide it and then make up a story about it. His story was that the one who found it was going to have good luck for a very long time.
